Footwear & insole advice

A lot of the time, your footwear can play a major role in sports injuries. We can advise on the best footwear and insoles based on your requirements, as well as offer advice on running techniques.

FMT

FMT (foot mobilisation therapy) is a therapy session to treat joint misalignment, stiffness, and pain around the foot. This comes from tendons, ligaments, and other connecting tissues becoming misaligned when the foot is positioned in a certain way. Adhesions often bundle these soft tissues, or they become stuck down and stop moving freely, which leads to poor joint realignment and changes where they adapt to this new position.

We help alleviate all pain and stiffness with an advanced foot mobilisation technique, where the position of the foot is normalised back to where it should be.

Computerised gait analysis

Computerised gait analysis assesses structural alignment or function after sports injuries, looking at the hip, knee, feet, lower limbs, and pelvis. This reduces the chance of further sports injury.

MLS Class 4 Laser treatments

Laser therapy involves directing laser light energy into inflamed or damaged tissues to accelerate the body’s natural healing process. During treatment, photons from the MLS Class 4 Laser penetrate the tissue and interact with molecules in cells, causing several biochemical effects.

We only carry out laser therapy after a full clinical assessment, where we tailor each treatment protocol around your specific requirements and body. All MLS Class 4 Laser treatments are quick and painless, and the number of treatments you will need will be discussed at your initial appointment.

You’ll generally feel results first time with our MLS Class 4 Laser, although for chronic conditions it may take a few sessions for you to notice a difference. However, the cellular benefits will be immediate, no matter your condition.
